Korra Arm Band Concept by lifesAdarkART Korra Arm Band Concept by lifesAdarkART
So I was asked to do a tutorial on the arm band, but I hated the fabric ones that most people were making, so I'm not doing the arm band conventionally either.

I'm doing a Native American beading technique for it. My husband is Native American and his mom sits around on weekends doing it. So I thought it would be cool to do sense Korra is a native herself. (Eskimo, I assume.)

so when it's done it should look something like this [link]

So I'm not sure if any one would like a tutorial on this way of making it. Just let me know.

It's probably cloth.

I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one with that idea for the armband! I'm going to start making mine soon, though I'm curious what size beads you were planning to use.

Nevermind, I realize I can see it in the picture, haha. Though I'm curious how many beads a band of that size will need. Do you have any idea yet?

Thank you so much!! I am split between making the armband fabric or beaded, because beaded I would probably have to punch holes and then lace it, but this version also looks more genuine and shows our hardwork in it too! So I guess beaded armband it is! :D

Glad you like the idea. This style is very easy to do! It just takes time, but there's not too much up and down weaving with the needle or anything. Maybe this example will help you if you don't want to wait for my tutorial. [link]

This is the method I'll be using. You'd just need to make the pattern and there you go.
